This is a great question! Therapy typically looks backward to heal deep emotional wounds, manage mental health crises, or treat clinical diagnoses. Coaching is forward-looking and goal-oriented.
As a certified coach, I partner with kids and teens who are doing relatively well but want proactive tools, accountability, and strategy to build emotional resilience, self-awareness, and healthier daily habits.
I don't hand kids a list of advice or tell them what to do. Instead, I use active listening and powerful, open-ended questions to help them discover their own strengths, cultivate their own critical thinking skills, and learn how to navigate the digital world on their own terms. It’s about empowering them from the inside out.
(Note: If a child needs clinical support, I am always happy to help connect the family with a licensed mental health professional.)

I am certified through the Pediatric Health Coaching Academy, which is approved by the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). This means my training meets the highest gold standard of rigorous, evidence-based education and ethical guidelines in the coaching industry. You can trust that your family is receiving professional, top-tier support.

You are the ultimate anchor for your child, so your support is vital! While the individual sessions are a private, safe space for your child or teen to open up, I view this as a whole-family approach.
The more everyone can be on board with these new routines and habits, the better the outcome for your child. To keep you connected, I provide parents with high-level updates and actionable insights on how to support their progress and mirror healthy habits at home. If you want a dedicated strategy session entirely for yourself, I also offer a Parent Strategy Intensive to give you targeted tools for your unique household dynamics.

My ultimate goal is to give your child sustainable skills so they don't need a coach forever! By the end of the 12 weeks, they will have a personalized "toolkit" of healthy habits and emotional resilience strategies. However, because youth development has different waves and stages, many families choose to transition into a monthly check-in or maintenance schedule to keep those habits anchored as the child enters a new school year or a new developmental phase.

The very first step is a free, no-pressure Discovery Call. This gives us a chance to chat about what your family is experiencing, ensure your child is a good candidate for coaching, and make sure we are a great fit for each other. You can schedule that call directly through my calendar link.

Yes, creating a private, safe space is essential for building trust. What your child shares during our sessions stays between us, with two major exceptions:
I will always share the high-level themes we are working on so you can support them at home.
If I ever believe your child is a danger to themselves or others, safety comes first, and I will inform you immediately.
I always encourage kids to share their breakthroughs with their parents themselves, which helps build better communication within the family!

I specialize in working with children and teens from ages 9 to 18. Because development looks wildly different across these years, I offer two tailored programs: Foundational Confidence for ages 9–12, and Authentic Identity for teens ages 13–18.
If your child is right on the edge of an age group or you aren't sure which program fits best, we can chat about their unique needs and maturity level during our free discovery call!

At this time, pediatric health coaching is not covered by health insurance.
As pediatric health coaching continues to grow as a profession, insurance coverage may become accessible in the future.
If you have any questions about pricing or would like to learn whether coaching is the right fit for your family, we can discuss this during a free discovery call.
